The SISTERS* project

The aim of the project is to support girls and young women with a history of migration in Saxony, particularly in rural areas, with regard to their multiple experiences of discrimination (racism, sexism, classism, etc.). The project establishes sustainable services and structures and encourages girls and young women in their self-determination and participation. A central component of the work is girls' get-togethers for girls with a history of migration from the age of 10, which are organized and carried out directly on site and have so far been active in Pirna, Freiberg and Torgau. Now the project and its locations are to be expanded in order to create even more offers for girls and young women of color. Anyone who has a need for the offer or would like to refer girls of color to the project can contact the project team at any time.

KIMM

Successful integration into the district is a challenge for migrants. To support them in this, the Immigration Office is working on an AI-supported matching tool (KIMM). It should enable them to independently find support and offers that match their skills, interests and needs.

The tool can be found here.
