In accordance with Section 5 of the Asylum Seekers' Benefits Act (AsylbLG), work opportunities are to be made available in shared accommodation for the maintenance and operation of the facility. This excludes activities for the self-sufficiency of the person entitled to benefits.
In addition, as far as possible, work opportunities should be made available with state, municipal and non-profit organizations if the work results serve the general public.
Work opportunities also serve as an opportunity for migrants to gain initial work and integration experience in Germany and to promote their participation in society.
The areas of work can also be based on the interests of the participants.

Operators of facilities for the accommodation of refugees and state, municipal or non-profit organizations in the district of Central Saxony can be responsible for the measures.
Eligible participants are people who are able to work, who are not in gainful employment and who are entitled to benefits under the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act and who are no longer of school age.
AGHs can start at any time of the year. The working hours of 20 - 25 hours per week should be adhered to. If funding is provided for the provision of AGH in accordance with the Municipal Integration Work Ordinance (KomIntAVO) , the application conditions must be observed.
Organizers of the measures must submit an "Application for employment of a participant in an internal or external work opportunity in accordance with § 5 AsylbLG" to the Foreigners and Asylum Office - Accommodation and Integration Department - of the district of Central Saxony. The application must be submitted at least 14 days before the start of the work opportunity.
If the application is approved, a participation agreement must be concluded between the provider of the measure and the participant. The provider of the measure pays EUR 0.80 per hour for the work to be performed, unless the person entitled to benefits can provide evidence of higher necessary expenses incurred by him/her as a result of the work opportunity in the individual case.
There is also the possibility of an obligation on the part of the person entitled to benefits to participate by the Aliens and Asylum Office.
In addition, the providers also have the option of applying for funding in accordance with Section 11 (4) no. 4 via the Municipal Integration Work Ordinance (KomIntAVO). Funding of up to a maximum of EUR 500 can be applied for per measure. Recipients of funding from the KomIntAVO can be operators of facilities for accommodating refugees in the district of Central Saxony. State, municipal and non-profit organizations can also apply for funding.
Within this funding, for example, personnel costs for instructors and material costs (materials, work clothing or tools) can be reimbursed. The EUR 0.80 expense allowance is not eligible for funding under Section 11(4)(4) KomIntAVO!
The application for funding must also be submitted to the Foreigners and Asylum Office - Accommodation and Integration Department - of the district of Central Saxony. The application for funding must be submitted four weeks before the start of the measure. Applications for the current year can be submitted until September 30 .
