Service center for language and integration mediators (SprInt) and community interpreting services for the district of Central Saxony

The district of Mittelsachsen is working on setting up a service center to provide interpreters and language and integration mediators. This is funded by the Free State of Saxony as part of the state's Integrative Measures program.

The service point is being implemented by the Accommodation and Integration Coordination Department and aims to build up a pool of interpreters that can be used for communication with authorities and in everyday situations if required.

The funding of service points for language and integration mediators and community interpreting services for administrative districts is intended to improve their conditions for dealing with migrants. The service point should therefore primarily be a point of contact for institutions in the district of Central Saxony, such as offices and authorities, schools and daycare centers, social services of the municipalities and independent providers, employment agencies, medical practices, hospitals and clinics, care facilities and nursing services as well as psychotherapeutic facilities.
