Who is the housing guide aimed at?This guide is aimed exclusively at all persons with a residence permit in accordance with the Residence Act (AufenthhG) in Germany who would like to rent an apartment. It provides you with important tips and information on the subject of finding accommodation and living in the district of Central Saxony.
 

In the context of flight and migration, it is important to know whether a refugee is allowed to rent their own apartment. This depends on the respective residence status. In every asylum procedure, the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) checks whether and which form of protection applies. The local immigration authority is responsible for the resulting residence law issues.
 

Once an electronic residence permit (eAT) has been issued by the immigration authority, those entitled to asylum or recognized refugees are required to rent their own apartment. The housing guide is available in a version for tenants and another version for landlords.
